How do you measure success?

Unfortunately, I failed.

It wasn’t just a ooops you made a mistake.

Or you dropped the ball in pre-season.

It was 30 seconds to go in the 4th quarter of the Super bowl and your quarterback breaks a leg on the way to the game. Two of your major running backs – run into each other in the locker room.  You make it to the field with a list of back up plans and a new playbook the Commission has a telegram from the weather chasers who  see a storm rolling in. All decide to give the team owners the option to postpone the game 2 days. However, you decide,

“We will play.”

The clouds turn into a thunderstorm with sleet and hail. When your team finally leaves the field all of them are injured, you have not scored all day, your stock has dropped, you are no longer the owner/coach and your team is moving to another city/state under someone else’s leadership.

However all the financial, public, emotional, reputation and mental loss is yours?

Now, maybe it was not that bad, but this is what it felt like when I finally closed my eyes for bed on October 26, 2016.

Going to sleep at 11:45 pm on October 25, 2016 did not help. But waking up to a white screen on my computer at 5:12 am did not help. Re-booting and troubleshooting the computer was successful, however that is when the trouble started.

First one author dropped out at 5 am via email (3 hours before she was to present). My computer had two major Windows 10 “Critical Updates” with mandatory re-boot (40 minutes after starting). Three authors had major posting issues (due to Facebook not allowing them to post). One author simply decided not to show. In addition, my special little sister (who I love and adore) was traveling (due to a family death). My husband and I did not travel because this company is my baby and we had an appointment on the day of my uncle’s interment. Moreover, one of my partners resigned to pursue other interest leaving me technically alone. I appreciate my husband’s financial backing, and JESSie’s creative writing abilities, however, I am currently in need of an editor and sounding board with deeper pockets.

I am moving forward because under all circumstances #goIndie Authors NEED an advocate. Too many want to give “reasons” for their bad behavior and ignore yourexcuses” for your decisions. We all act/react to situations based on the information we currently hold, i.e. “we don’t know, what we don’t know”.

This is what MY company has "going on" in BROAD STROKES from its inception on March 1, 2016 when we re-incorporated under the name +Articulate Communication Publications, SLLC

·         Crowdfunding
(awaiting Indiegogo approval) launches on 11/01/2016

·         Publishing projects

·        Professional Services

·                        Reviewing
We "verified" purchase 50 books

I will forever be the Advocate

This is my calling

I need NOT agree with what you say,
but will fight for your right

Today, I played Thursday morning quarterback, I showed up for the game. According to the scoreboard we lost. I limp off the field...

In my heart,we won.

We live to play/fight another day, so YaY!

Keep track of what we are doing; you want to stay on top of this takeover…

And to answer so many who question me, "what do you do?"

(No matter who you are you are not the first to ask this question)
